First boot system with a bootable floppy with smartdrv.exe on it (Smart
Drive). Smart Drive can be found on Microsoft's web site [See download link
below] or on a DOS 6.x disk. Once booted switch to C:> by typing C:, type
LOCK and confirm lock down, then switch back to the A:> drive (A:) and type
smartdrv c+ d+ 30000 [Note: do for each hard drive. if you only have a C: drive
only type smartdrv c+ 30000. After that type smartdrv again and all drive(s) should say YES. This will make a 1:25 minute NT install into a 45 minute install. Will shave
off time with Windows 95/98 too.
